December 7, 2016

Good morning everyone and welcome to another “hump day”!! Checking the calendar, we are 18 days from Christmas. Looking over the weather maps this morning, there are no developing storms of concern that we are watching. Most areas should get by on the dry side today, that is not good news to those areas that experiencing drought situations and are in desperate need of water. In the news today, a 6.2 magnitude earthquake shook Trinidad and Tobago yesterday. The area is not under a tsunami warning however. Thankfully there were no injuries, loss of life or distruction caused by the tremors. Well, that’s all we have for today, have a great day everyone and keep checking back.

Thursday Thoughts

December 1, 2016

Good morning everyone and welcome to December. A friend of mine once told me you should say “rabbit” the first thing on the first day of a new month and you will have good luck that month! Checking the weather maps this morning, there are no developing storms of concern. Yesterday was the official end to the 2016 hurricane season. I was reading a report the other day that said this past season was the most active season in four years. Apparently the heavy rains caused some problems in Barbados yesterday as they were celebrating their 50th anniversary of independence. England’s Prince Harry was on the island to help with the celebration ceremonies. Well that’s all for now, have a great day everyone and remember, only 24 more days till Christmas!!!!
