Wednesday Update

Good morning and happy hump day everyone! While people in the US are preparing for the annual Thanksgiving holiday, people in central America are bracing for Tropical Storm Otto. Checking the weather maps this morning, Otto is located about 185 miles E-SE of Limon Costa Rica with winds of 70 mph and moving in a W-NW direction at 5 mph. Hurricane Warnings have been issued from Limon Costa Rica to Bluefields Nicaragua with the center of Otto expected to make landfall on Thursday possibly as a hurricane. Rain amounts across the region will be 4-8 inches with as much as 15-20 inches in isolated areas of northern Costa Rica and southern Nicaragua. The area will also see dangerous flash floods and mud slides. Remember, you can get complete storm information and updates on One Caribbean Television. Some news of note this morning. A travel advisory has been issued for the island of Montserrat as the Zika virus has surfaced there. This advisory does not mean you can’t or shouldn’t travel there however. Good news for Disney Cruise Lines, they were recently voted the best cruise line in the Caribbean and also the best family cruise line, congratulations to Mickey and company! Well, that’s all for now, have a great day everyone and keep checking back with us.
