Tuesday Update

Good morning and happy Tuesday everyone. Joey and I are getting ready to travel to Brooklyn New York this Friday for the big labor day Caribbean parade. We will file some reports for One Caribbean News. It has been a busy day again in the weather center as we are watching three different storms. Hurricane Gaston is currently 630 miles east of Bermuda with winds of 100 mph and moving to the NE at 6 mph. There are no coastal watches or warnings with this storm and it seems to be weakening slightly. Tropical Depression #9 is currently located 495 miles west of Key West, Florida and 435 miles west of Havana, Cuba with winds of 35 mph and moving to the west at seven mph. There are no coastal watches or warnings with this storm. The storm is strengthening and should be a Tropical Storm today as it moves into the Gulf of Mexico. Interests in central and northern Florida should monitor the progress of this storm as heavy rains are expected with it. Finally we are watching Hurricane Lester in the Pacific. This storm is located about 2305 miles east of Hilo, Hawaii with winds of 125 mph and moving west at 14 mph, this is a category 3 hurricane. Well that’s all we have for now, have a great day everyone and remember you can get complete storm details and updates on One Caribbean Television.
