Friday Updates

Good morning everyone, we have come to the end of a busy week and I know we are all looking forward to the weekend. Joey and I will spend part of the weekend packing for our trip to Barbados next week to cover crop over for carnival Week on One Caribbean Television. Coverage begins next Thursday from 8-10 pm. It has been a busy morning in the weather center. Looking at the Atlantic, The Caribbean and The Gulf of Mexico, everything is rather normal with showers and occasional thunderstorms. Over in the Pacific it is a different story with none less then three storms currently moving across the waters. Tropical Storm Estelle which is expected to become a remnant low today is currently 1415 miles west of the southern tip of Baja, California with winds of 40 mph and moving to the W-NW at 16 mph. There are no coastal watches or warnings with this storm. Tropical Storm Frank could become a hurricane over the weekend. Frank is currently 205 miles SW of Manzanillo, Mexico with winds of 50 mph and moving NW at 12 mph. There are no coastal watches or warnings with this storm, however residents of the Baja, California region should keep an eye on this storm as we head into the weekend. Finally, we have Tropical Depression 8-E that could very well become a Tropical Storm today. This storm is located about 865 miles S-SW of the southern tip of Baja, California with winds of 35 mph and is moving to the N-NW at 13 mph. There are no coastal watches or warnings with this storm. Don’t forget you can get complete forecast updates over the weekend at One Caribbean Television. If you are not currently getting the station, call your local cable provider and ask them if they would add it to your station lineup. Have a great weekend everyone.
