Friday Updates

Good morning everyone, welcome to Friday and the beginning of another weekend! To those folks in the US and territories of the US happy Memorial Day weekend. Checking your weather maps this morning, we are watching a number of showers associated with a low pressure system between Bermuda and the Bahamas. This system is showing signs of organization and could take on tropical or subtropical cyclone features later today or Saturday. We should see some movement to the west or northwest which means it should effect the southeastern portion of the US. We will continue to monitor this system throughout the weekend. Complete forecast details and updates will be available on One Caribbean Television. In the news today, as of July 4th, Insel Air will connect Guyana and Brazil after a five year void of no direct air service between the two countries. In other news, Expedia, one of the world’s largest travel information companies, reported travel demand to Antigua and Barbuda grew 35% in 2015. The US remains the main feeder market with a growth of nearly 40% in 2015. Well, that’s all for now, have a great weekend everyone and keep checking back with us.
