Tuesday Thoughts and Updates

Good morning everyone, hope your Tuesday is off to a good start. Checking the weather maps this morning there are no developing storms to talk about. There appear to be som pretty good thunderstorms moving across eastern Cuba into the Turks and Caicos Islands and portions of the Bahamas. In the news today, a couple of interesting stories. Jamaica Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett says they are addressing the problem of tourists being pursued by merchants at the crew ship dock in Ocho Rios. Apparently merchants have become so aggressive trying to make a sale that many tourists are not even getting off the ships when they dock. In other news, Venezuela Pres Nicolas Maduro recently said in Kingstown, Jamaica that despite facing severe economic challenges, his government will continue to honor their arrangement with the region under the PetroCarib agreement. Well, that’s all for now, Joey and I are looking forward to some big carnivals coming up in June and July, more on those as we get closer. Have a great day everyone.
