Tuesday Thoughts

Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday. Joey and I are busy packing for our trip to Saint Thomas tomorrow. Checking the weather maps this morning there are no developing storms of concern. A quick look at some of the stories making news today, filming has begun in Cuba for the latest fast and furious movie. It has been decades since a major film has been set in Cuba. Residents are excited because of all the attention. Prince the musical star who recently died had a home in the Turks and Caicos and apparently spent quite a bit of time there. Monday Update

Good morning everyone, hope you had a good weekend. Joey and I are busily preparing for our trip to St Thomas this Wednesday. We always look forward to getting where we are going but do not look forward to the airports and it air travel itself, it has turned into an experience that is not very easy to deal with. I suppose it is just the world we live in today. Checking the weather maps this morning, there are no developing storms. In fact, most areas should see some fairly nice weather today and tonight with the exception of a few spots where we will see scattered showers and an occasional thunderstorm. In the news, trouble continues on the island of Haiti where the elections were postponed again this weekend. Cuba is scrapping a ban on people who were born on the island from visiting the island by crew ship. Well, that’s all for now, have a great day everyone and keep checking back with us.

Friday Update

Good morning and T.G.I.F. Checking the weather maps this morning, there are no developing storms as we head to the weekend. Again tonight however there will be showers and some thunderstorms around as you head out so check the forecast and take an umbrella to be on the safe side. In the news, Jamaica is defending it’s sale of small amounts of marijuana and has approached the UN to re classify the drug. Usain Bolt has joined in a campaign to encourage vaccines, he has also been identified by Time magazine as one of the world’s most influential people. Finally the world of music and fans everywhere are mourning the death of rock icon Prince, he was 57 years old. Well that’s all for now, have a great weekend everyone. Thursday Thoughts

Good morning everyone, thanks for checking back with us on this Thursday. One more day and we are into another weekend. This time next week, Joey and I will be on the island of Saint Thomas, we are really looking forward to that, it will be our first time there. I was checking the weather maps this morning and I don’t see any developing storms out there. I should mention that there will be showers and even a few thunderstorms out there tonight so be aware of the weather if you are going to venture out. Congratulations again to Jamaica and Turks and Caicos for being selected two of the top beaches in the world by Trip Advisor. In the news, The Dominican Republic was the top destination in the Caribbean for 2016 followed by Puerto Rico. Most of the visitors came from the US followed by Canada. Congratulations to Queen Elizabeth who celebrates her 90th birthday today. Finally, Cuba is moarning the death of three doctors who were killed in Equador when they went to help earthquake victims, apparently a building fell on them. Wednesday Update

Good morning everyone, happy hump day! Checking the weather maps this morning, there are no developing storms that should give us any problems. In the news, Trip Advisor has released a list of the best islands in the world, Maui in Hawaii was voted number one this year. Last years winner, Provo in the Turks and Caicos Islands came in at number four while Jamaica was voted the third best island. US Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is sending a couple reps to Puerto Rico to look into the Zika virus. Congratulations to international cricket star Chris Gayle who’s wife had their first son recently. Well, that’s all for now, have a great day everyone and keep checking back.

Good morning everyone, hope your Tuesday is off to a good start. Checking the weather maps there are no developing storms for concern today. I was looking at the calendar this morning, hard to believe that April is almost gone already. In the news, there is a big presidential primary in the US today in the state of New York. Partly front runners Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are expected to win. Haiti will have to postpone their presidential elections this weekend as they continue to investigate voter fraud in the first round. Hurricane predictions are calling for a more active season this year, it should be an average year but more active than the past couple years. Well, that’s all for now, have a great day everyone.

Monday Update

Good morning everyone, we hope you had a very nice weekend. Joey and I spent the weekend watching the NBA playoffs, we both are big basketball fans. As we start the new week there are no major storms or developing storms to report on, however we can expect some showers and even some thunderstorms throughout the Caribbean tonight. I was looking over our travel schedule, apparently Joey and I will be traveling to St John for their carnival in early July, we will be traveling to Tampa Florida for a large fishing expo around July 10th and finally to Barbados at the end of July for Crop over and Carnival Week on One Caribbean Television. Next week as I have already told you we will be in Saint Thomas for their carnival. Well, that’s all for now, have a great day everyone and keep checking back with us.

Friday Thoughts

Good morning everyone and happy Friday! Well, we are on the verge of another weekend and it looks like it should be a decent weekend for you weather wise because we don’t see any developing storms out there this morning. Joey and I are going to try and rest up this weekend as we prepare for our visit to the island of St Thomas on the 27th. I was talking to a friend of mine who lives in Puerto Rico and he was telling me how big a financial problem they are having. He said it is estimated that some 5-6 thousand people are leaving the island on a regular basis, that is a lot of people! Hopefully they will find a way out of their problem, Joey and I have a lot of friends on the island and always enjoy going there. Well, that’s all for now, have a great weekend everyone.

Thursday Thoughts

Good morning everyone, hope your Thursday is going well. Only one more day till the weekend. I don’t know about you but I think this week has gone by rather quickly. I was checking the weather maps a little while ago and there are no developing storms that should give us any trouble. In fact most forecasts look pretty good for tonight. Mark it on your calendar, Joey and I are headed to St Thomas on April 27th. In the news, the center for desiese control has now confirmed the link between the zika virus and birth defects. A big day in Washington DC yesterday as a number of Puerto Ricos 65th division were given the gold medal of honor for service in the first and second as well as Korean wars. Wednesday Thoughts

Good morning, it’s hump day! Checking the weather maps this morning we find no developing storms that could give us trouble. I found out yesterday that Joey and I will be traveling to St Thomas to cover their carnival April 27th to May 1st. We both are looking forward to seeing and meeting with our friends and viewers. In the news, President Obama is signing legislation that will provide more funding for research and prevention vaccine for the Zika virus which is starting to show up in the US. The investigation continues into the murder of a British cricket player in Trinidad and today in Puerto Rico they will honor a group of veterans who server with the 65th in world wars 1 and 2 and the Korean war.
