Monday Update

Good morning everyone, we hope you had a great weekend. Well here we are the last day of November and the official end of the Atlantic hurricane season! Checking the weather maps this morning, there are no big storms out there and we don’t see anything trying to develop. Over on the pacific side things are also quiet for our friends in Mexico. I hear the conk festival in the Turks and Caicos islands was a huge success. This should be a busy month as we get ready for Christmas. Have a great day everyone and keep checking back.

Friday Updates

Good morning and happy Friday everyone. Well, we are on the doorstep of the last weekend of November. Checking the weather maps this morning we are quiet in the Atlantic, The Caribbean and The Gulf of Mexico. We do have a hurricane named Sandra in the Pacific however. Sandra is currently located approximately 255 miles South-Southeast of the southern tip of Baja, California with winds of 100 mph and moving to the N-NE at 19 mph. There are currently Tropical Storm Watches issued for the Baja peninsula. The core of Sandra should pass just south of the Baja tip tonight and Saturday. There is potential for 4-6 inches of rain with as much as 12 inches in some spots. Also, be on guard for flash flooding and mud slides with this storm. Thursday Thoughts

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving to our friends in the US. Checking the weather maps this morning we have a large storm in the Pacific ocean. Hurricane Sandra is approximately 925 miles south of the southern tip of Baja, California with winds of 145 mph and moving to the north at 12 mph. This is a category 4 hurricane. There are currently no coastal watches or warnings issued with this storm, however some may be posted later today. Well that’s all for now, have a great day and keep checking back with us.

Wednesday Update

Good morning everyone and happy hump day, only a couple more days till the weekend!!! Checking your weather maps this morning we are watching and monitoring Hurricane Sandra in the pacific Ocean. Sandra is located approximately 545 miles southwest of Manzanillo Mexico with winds of 85 mph and is moving to the WNW at 17 mph. There are currently no coastal watches or warnings, however, some might be added later today. This storm is also predicted to strengthen today. Don’t forget you can get complete storm and weather details on One Caribbean Television. If you are not currently receiving the channel, contact your local cable provider and ask them if they would add it to your lineup. Tuesday Thoughts and Updates

Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday. I feel like I should go into hiding, with the Thanksgiving holiday coming up in the US in a couple days, I certainly don’t want to be confused with a turkey!!! LOL. Checking the weather maps this morning, everything is relatively calm with the exception of a late season storm in the Pacific. Tropical Storm Sandra is located approximately 570 miles south of Manzanillo, Mexico with winds of 45 mph and moving west at 13 mph. There are currently no coastal watches or warnings with this storm, it is expected to become a hurricane on Wednesday. Stay tuned to One Caribbean Television and right here for the latest updates on this storm. In the news, don’t forget the annual conk festival on the Turks and Caicos islands this weekend. Good morning everyone, we hope you had a great weekend. Joey and I are glad to be with you after being gone for about a month. Checking the weather maps, there are no storms out there to report on and none that are developing that we can see. In the news, good news for the island of Barbados who recently received a loan of some 25 million dollars to improve the roads on the island. The Turks and Caicos islands will celebrate the annual conk festival this weekend. It is always a great time for visitors and locals alike. This past weekend saw riots in Haiti and people there are protesting the recent elections. This is a big week in the US as they celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday and it also marks the beginning of the big holiday shopping season.
