Friday Updates

Goof morning and happy Friday to you. As we head to the weekend we are watching a Tropical Depression off the coast of Mexico in the Pacific ocean about 460 WSW of the southern tip of Baja, California with winds of 35 mph and moving NW at 12 mph. There are no watches or warnings with this storm and it appears to be moving out into colder ocean waters which means it should not increase. Other then that we can expect just a few showers and thunderstorms across the region tonight. In the news we are hearing reports of an undersea volcano named Kick Em Jenny near Granada that is being watched closely, apparently the have upped their alert status to orange, I understand Red would be the next move. That volcano last erupted in 2001. We will continue to keep an eye on this story. Big weekend forJamaica as they will play Mexico in the Gold Cup Soccer Championship, Jamaica defeated the US 2-1 to move into the championship game. Well that’s all for now, have a great weekend and don’t forget that Joey and I will be headed to Barbados next Tuesday for the Crop over festival. We will be broadcasting live beginning July 30th on Caribbean Week seen on One Caribbean Television.
