Monday Update

Good morning everyone and welcome into another week. We hope you had a nice weekend. Today marks the beginning of the Atlantic hurricane season, the season will run through November 30th. Checking the weather maps this morning, all the activity seems to be over on the Pacific side. Hurricane Andres is located 825 miles SW of the southern tip of Baja, California with winds of 145 mph (this is a catagory 4 storm) moving to the west at about 6 mph. There are no watches or warnings issued with this storm right now. We also have Tropical Depression Two-E that could develop into a Tropical Storm later today. Right now this system is located about 345 miles SSW of the Mexico coast. The storm has winds of 35 mph and is moving to the NW at about 6 mph. There are no watches or warnings issued with this storm. In the news, a fishing boat from Sarasota Fla called “Billy The Kid” won the Hemingway fishing contest in Havana Cuba over the weekend. This famous tournament was started years ago by Earnest Hemingway. Well that’s all for now, have a great day. Just a reminder that Joey and I will be gone this Thursday and Friday as we travel to New York City for the Caribbean Tourism Organization festivities.
