Good morning everyone and thanks for checking back with us, checking your weather this morning there are no developing storms to report on, remember you can get complete weather coverage daily on One Caribbean Television. In the news, Puerto Rico’s Governor has said the island may not be able to pay 72 billion dollars to it’s creditors. Many people have left the island over the years seeking employment elsewhere which has eroded much of to tax base. Speaking of Puerto Rico we are getting stories of a bad drought across the island as well as many other islands in the Caribbean because of the lack of rainfall. Just a reminder, Joey and I are headed to St Vincent and The Grenadines tomorrow and will be gone thru next week as we go to cover Vincy Mas carnival. have a great day everyone, we will see you when we get back.

Monday Update

Good morning everyone, we hope you had a good weekend. Checking the weather maps this morning we find no developing storms to report on. In the news, Barbados has added a tax to sugary drinks, this seems to be a trend in alot of places that are trying to cut back on sugar use. Puerto Rico continues to have money trouble, the governor recently announced they might not be able to pay some of their debts. Joey and i will be traveling to St Vincent and the Grenadines this Wednesday to file some reports on carnival. Well that’s all for now, have a great day and keep checking back with us.

Good morning everyone and T.G.I.F. we are all looking forward to the weekend. Checking the weather maps this morning there are no developing storms that we can see and other then the normal scattered showers and thunderstorms, we should not have any problems over the weekend. In the news, the Kentucky pastor who was shot in the leg in Haiti after a service is back home again in the US. In Trinidad, police are investigating three shots outside the local paper. Presidential candidate Donald Trump is in hot water for comments he made concerning Mexico. Sir Richard Branson is getting into the cruise business with Virgin Cruises that will begin sailing in 2020 out of Florida and thru the Caribbean. Thursday Thoughts

Good morning everyone, hope your Thursday is going well. Checking the weather maps this morning there are no developing storms that we are concerned with. In the news, an American missionary was shot in the leg while in Haiti after he concluded a service there. There seems to be concern with the Caribbean with the popularity of Cuba to tourists, some think this could cut into islands especially those close to Cuba. If you are in the St Kitts area don’t forget they are kicking off their music festival today through June 27th. The island of Tobago has installed a new warning system for the island.Well that’s all for now, Joey and I are looking forward to our trip to St Vincent next week for Vincy Mas.Have a good day everyone.

Good morning and happy hump day everyone, thanks for checking back with us. Checking the weather maps this morning, there are no developing storms to report and the only thing we can see are the usual scattered showers and thunderstorms in some areas. In the news, a secret donor has given one million dollars to be used to renovate the Cuban home of famous author Earnest Hemingway, the author lived and worked there for almost two decades producing a number of his world famous books. The home has long been a favorite tourist attraction on the island. If you like music, get ready for the St Kitts Music Festival that will be held on the island June 25-27 with a variety of music. Good morning and T.G.I.F. everyone. As we head into the weekend there are no major storms developing out there but be assured we will continue to watch and monitor for you. We are busy preparing for carnival week on OCTV that will be held July 28 to Aug 3rd. Joey and I will be in St Vincent and the Grenadines for carnival in July and in Barbados for crop over again this season. In other news there is a movement in Trinidad and Tobago to return the country to it’s 1962 model which they say was when the islands were at their best. Checking the weather maps this morning, Tropical depression Bill has moved into the US with heavy rains for parts of Texas and Oklahoma. Over in the pacific, Carlos is no longer a threat so all in all things are pretty tranquil with the exception of some showers and thunderstorms around.Just a reminder that you can get great Caribbean programming on One Caribbean Television as well as detailed forecasts. Wednesday Update

Good morning everyone and happy hump day. Checking the weather maps this morning, Tropical Storm Bill has moved onshore in Texas and continues to bring heavy rains today. Over on the pacific side, Tropical Storm carlos remains approximately 20 miles south of Playa Perula Mexico with winds of 45 mph and is moving to the N-NW at about 9 mph. This storm is expected to dissipate by Friday.We are busily preparing for carnival week here on One Caribbean Television, keep checking back for more details in the near future.
