Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday. I was looking at the calendar this morning and it’s hard to believe another month is almost gone!! Checking the weather maps for you this morning there are no storms out there that we are concerned about and the Atlantic Hurricane Season is almost history. The good news is that it was a very mild season. Police continue to investigate the murder of a German couple on the island of Tobago, so far there is no motive or suspect. Riots broke out in Furgeson Missouri after a Grand Jury put out a decision not to convict a white policeman involved with the shooting of a black youth this summer. The young lady from Jamaica Anita Antuinette that is competing on the tv show The Voice will find out tonight if she will continue on, we wish her luck. Well that’s all for now, have a great day and keep checking back.

November 20, 2014

Good morning everyone, hope your Thursday is going well so far. Looking at the calendar, they will be celebrating Thanksgiving next Thursday in the US. You know that Christmas can’t be far away, I am seeing Santa sightings on the news. Checking our weather maps today, we are in pretty good shape with no major storms to report on and we don’t see any developing out there. I see where Liberty Cable in Puerto Rico is having their big golf tournament this week, wish Joey and I were there for that one. Don’t forget if you are a marathon runner, Curacao is gearing up for the KLM Marathon the end of this month, contact the Department of Tourism for details on this event. A Cuban doctor has contracted Ebola, he is currently being treated, he contracted the virus in West Aftrica. Cuba has sent more health workers abroad to fight ebola then any other country. Well that’s the update for today, have a great day and keep checking back.

Good morning and happy hump day!! Our friends in San Juan Puerto Rico told us the black and blue gala to support muscular dystrophy held this past weekend was a huge success. Congratulations to the organizers and thank you to everyone who supported this fine event. Checking your weather maps this morning there are no storms out there of concern and no developing storms that we can see. A good portion of the United States continues in a deep freeze with temps well below freezing. Congratulations to the young lady from Jamaica who has moved into the top 10 on the popular show “The Voice”. Well that’s all for today, have a good one and keep checking back.

Tuesday Thoughts

November 18, 2014

Good morning everyone, I hope your Tuesday is going well. Bitter cold and snow continue to dominate much of the United States as they are in the grips of an early winter. Believe it or not there are also a lot of people who like the snow, especially those who participate in winter sports and also hunters who like snow because it is easier for them to track. As for Joey and I, we will take the beach and the warmth ever time!! This could very well be good news for the Caribbean as northerners look for an escape to warmer temps. Checking the weather maps today we find no major storm or potential developing storms. Keep in mind that Nov 30th is the official end of the Atlantic hurricane season. If you are a runner, don’t forget that Curacao has a big marathon coming up at the end of this month. Well that’s all for now, have a great day everyone and keep checking back.

Monday Updates

November 17, 2014

Good morning everyone, hope you had a good weekend as we kick off another new week. I hear the Black and Blue gala in San Juan was a huge success over the weekend, with proceeds going to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Anita Antuinette from Jamaica continued her run on the voice this week, we wish her luck. More sickness on a cruise line, one of the Princess ships reported several hundred people sick on a recent cruise. Checking the weather maps today we find no major storms or developing storms to report. Keep in mind the Atlantic hurricane season ends on November 30th. I don’t know how many basketball fans we have out there, but I am always amazed when someone like LaBron James scores 30 or 40 points in a game and it is just like another night at the office, for most players that would be a huge thing but someone like him it is expected. If you are vacationing in the Caribbean be thankful if you are from the Unites States where most of the country is in deep freeze with lots of snow!!! Well that’s it for now, have a great day everyone and keep checking back.

Friday Updates

November 14, 2014

Good morning everyone and T.G.I.F. well as we head into another weekend we are looking pretty good on the weather front, we have no developing storms on the horizon as we continue to count down to the official end of the Atlantic hurricane season on November 30th. From our “it can always be worse” department, some areas of the United States have received over a foot of snow with bitter cold temperatures. Looking at the calendar it is hard to believe that we only have about one and a half months left in this year!! Congratulations to Miss Puerto Rico was recently crowned Miss International. Congratulations to Valerie Hernandes. Well that’s all for now have a great weekend and keep checking back.
