Saturday In Barbados

Good morning everyone, a lot to report to you today. Bust last night as we continue to report from The Crop-over festival in Barbados. Last night or should I say overnight was the For day morning experience, this consists of bands playing soca music and groups following the trucks around town dancing, drinking and painting their bodies with paint!!! Luckily I got away with no paint on my feathers!! LOL A couple events cancelled yesterday because of the Tropical Storm that passed north of the island will be held today. Joey and I will be attending the Emancipation Walk and a soca music competition later tonight. I want to give you an update on Tropical Storm Bertha. The storm is approximately 90 miles SSW of San Juan Puerto Rico at this writing. The storm has winds of 50 mph and is moving to the WNW at 22 mph. There are currently Tropical Storm Warnings for Puerto Rico, The British Virgin Islands, The US Virgin Islands, The Eastern Dominical Republic and The SE Bahamas. The track of the storm is expected to be near Puerto Rico today, across the Eastern Dominical Republic tomorrow and then near or over the SE Bahamas and Turks & Caicos Islands on Sunday. Heavy rains and winds are expected to accompany this storm. Well that’s all for now, remember to monitor One Caribbean Television for complete storm coverage. If you don’t get OCTV then call your cable provider and ask them to add it to your lineup. Have a great day everyone and keep checking back.
