Good morning everyone and happy hump day!!! Well, Joey and I are busy packing as we hit the road tomorrow for Puerto Rico, The BVI and New York City (I’m tired just thinking of it)…seriously, we are looking forward to seeing old friends in those places. I was checking the weather maps this morning, there are no major storms out there to report on, there is however a low pressure in the Pacific off the coast of Mexico that could still develop into something so we will watch it. We will have a special on hurricanes on One Caribbean Television coming soon and will give you all the details shortly. Don’t forget the poker run in the BVI this Sunday. Well that’s all for now, have a great day and I will be back soon.

Good morning everyone and happy Thursday. In news Bermuda Premier has stepped down. In Puerto Rico they are on track for a record hatching of leatherback turtles thanks to new protections put into place by the government. Don’t forget the big poker run will take place in the BVI this weekend with loads of fun and some great cash prizes to winners. Jennifer Lopez is many things, she can now add author to her list. Tonight is a big night for fans of “The Voice” as they get closer to a winner on a two hour show tonight. Tess Ann Chinn won last years competition you may remember. Checking the weather today, the only thing we are watching is a small system in the Pacific to the south of Acapulco Mexico. Have a great day everyone.

Good morning everyone, we hope you had a great weekend. Checking the weather this morning we find an elongated low in the Pacific, several hundred miles south of the Baja Peninsula moving to the west. Conditions are not favorable for development at this time. Joey and I will be hitting the road this Thursday headed to the BVI for the big boat poker run, then to Puerto Rico and finally ending up in New York City. Eastern finals got underway yesterday in the NBA, the Indiana Pacers beat the Miami Heat in game one. The San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma Thunder play game one og the western finals tonight. Reports from Haiti that the Masquito carried desiese is spreading. California Crome may not run in the Bellmont because they say a horse nasal strip is illegal for him to wear. California Crome was going for the triple crown. Well that’s all for today, have a great day everyone.

Good morning and TGIF!!! Looking forward to another weekend. Checking the weather maps this morning there is a small developing storm several hundred miles south of Acapulco Mexico that we will be watching over the weekend as it moves west northwest. Conditions could become more favorable for development. Joey and I will begin packing this weekend for our trip to the BVI, Puerto Rico, and New York City. I believe the jazz festival is going on in St Kitts and Nevis this weekend. According to the World Health Organization, which Caribbean Island has the highest alcohol consumption per capita……(Drum roll)……..Granada. Well that’s all for now, have a great weekend everyone.

May 15, 2014

Good morning everyone, thanks for checking back with us. First off there are no developing storms to report on today. Basketball fans, it looks like the Miami Heat are right in stride with last year, they defeated Brooklyn last night and will now play the winner of the Indiana-Washington series for the Eastern Championship. Around the Caribbean a priest in Puerto Rico has been arrested for possibly sexually assulting an alter boy. That story continues to unfold off the coast of Haiti where they believe they have found the Santa Maria, the sunken ship of Christopher Columbus. Don’t forget the big poker run coming up in the BVI on Sunday May 25th. Well that’s all for now, have a great day everyone.

Wednesday Updates

May 14, 2014

Good morning a happy “hump day” everyone. It’s a downhill now until the weekend. Things are quiet on the weather front today with no developing storms to report on. I was looking at Joey’s and my schedule for the next several weeks and it looks like we will be busy. We begin with a trip to the beautiful BVI to participate in their annual poker run, from there we head back to Puerto Rico for a couple days and finally head to New York City where we will MC a cocktail party and awards ceremony for the annual Caribbean Financial Forum. Moviegoers seem to like the movie Neighbors last week, it beat out Spiderman 2 at the box office. Looking more and more like they might have discovered the wreckage of the Santa Marie off the coast of Haiti, if so this would be one of the largest discoveries in history. That’s all for now, have a great day everyone.

Tuesday Thoughts

May 13, 2014

Good morning everyone, hope you are having a great Tuesday. There are a few showers and thunderstorms around the Caribbean today but no major storms. Don’t forget the official hurricane season for the Atlantic kicks off June 1st. News from Haiti, a diver believes he has found the sunken ship of Christopher Columbus that sank in 1492. He says a cannon found with the wreckage proves it is the lost ship. Authorities in Trinidad continue their investigation to that recent shooting. It is the largest investigation in Trinidad history. Reports from St Lucia tell us this year’s annual jazz and art festival was a huge success, congratulations to the organizers of this year’s event. Don’t forget Joey and I will be headed to the BVI next week for the annual poker run, we hope to see you there!! Well that’s all for today, have a good one.

Monday Updates

May 12, 2014

Good morning everyone, we hope you all had a great weekend. Checking the weather maps this morning we find no major storms to worry about, we will continue to watch and monitor the situation and if we see anything we will let you know. It looks like Joey Stevens and I will be traveling to the BVI for the annual poker run. This year’s event will include some 300 boats competing for prize money, it sounds like a great event. We will alsobe in New York City for the annual Caribbean financial forum around June 4th. By the way, we certainly hope you mom’s out there had a very nice Sunday Mother’s Day. Well that’s all for now, have a great week ahead.

Thursday Thoughts & Updates

May 8, 2014

Good morning and happy Thursday everyone. There is a good chance Joey and I will be headed to the BVI for the annual poker run coming up in a couple weeks, I will let you know when plans are finalized. Checking the weather maps this morning we still have that low pressure moving off the Pacific toward the coast of Mexico. This system is pushing some heavy rains inland however the chance of it developing into a Tropical Cyclone over the next 48 hours is low. Certain areas should be on the lookout for flooding and dangerous mud slides. Don’t forget if you have small children in the house, The Sunshine Fun Club with Bob and Joey can be seen Saturday and Sunday mornings on One Caribbean Television. Some details on the attorney in Trinidad that was gunned down, apparently one of the suspects has gone into hiding and the thinking now is that the hit order may have come from prison. Joey and I will be away tomorrow but will return on Monday. Have a great day everyone.

Wednesday “Hump” Day

May 7, 2014

Good morning and happy hump day everyone, It’s that time of the week when we start looking forward to another weekend (however some of us begin on Monday!!!) Checking the weather maps for you this morning we find an area of disturbed weather in the Pacific off the coast of Mexico. We will watch this closely over the next several days as it has about a 50% chance of developing into a tropical cyclone. If is doesn’t develop it should still bring some heavy rain to southeastern Mexico. We know that horse racing is very popular on a number of the Caribbean Islands, that was quite evident from the large number of jockeys that rode horses this year in the Kentucky Derby. If you will be in new York City the beginning of June don’t forget the annual Investment Forum will be taking place, Joey and I have been asked to MC the cocktail party this year. Well that’s all for now, please keep checking back and have a wonderful “hump” day!!!
