February 12, 2014

Good morning everyone…happy hump day! Bob The Parrot here with my sidekick Joey Stevens. A little bit of confusion in New York where two members of the Puerto Rico parade committee have resigned. The parade attracks about 2 million people each year and is scheduled in New York on June 8th. Some areas of St Lucia need help in putting things back together, you can heal by sending a contribution to the local red cross. Tourism grew in the Caribbean in 2013 according to a recent report, Aruba saw the greatest growth. The current 2014 year is expected to be a good one. Checking the weather there are no major storms to report on. If you will be traveling to the US you might have some problems in the Eastern US where they are expecting a large winter storm. Well, that’s all for today, keep checking back and have a good day.

Good morning everyone, Bob The Parrot here. It is great to be back with you. Joey and I were in St Lucia last week looking at some of the damage form Christmas Eve. Although a lot of cleanup has taken place there is still a lot of noticeable damage. We also would like to put out an appeal for the the St Lucia Red Cross which needs funds for supplies to help victims. Good news from The Caribbean Tourism Organization which recently gave their state of the Caribbean address. According to them things are good in the Caribbean and they are looking for good things in 2014. Congratulations to St Lucia native Nina Compton for coming in second in the recent Top Chef competition on national television. She was recently named culinary ambassador for St Lucia. She is the daughter of former St Lucia Prime Minister. Joey and I will be back for a couple weeks and then we will be traveling for carnival season to do some live broasdcasts. Well that’s all for now, have a great day and keep checking back.
