Friday Updates

Hey good morning everyone….TGIF….Bob The Parrot here, thanks for checking back. Well as we head into the weekend we continue to watch two potential problem on the weather front. An are of low pressure has moved offshore of the Yucatan Peninsula, this is causing some disorganized showers and thunderstorms over the Southwestern Gulf of Mexico. This system will continue to move W-NW over the next couple days. There is a 50% chance of this becoming a Tropical Cyclone in the next 48 hours, and a 60% chance og becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 5 days. Joey and I also are monitoring Tropical Storm Erin that is currently about 695 miles West of the Cape Verde Islands with winds of 40 miles per hour and moving on a track W-NW at about 16 miles per hour. There are no watches or warnings with this storm right now and it is still many days away from being a threat to any land mass. We will continue to watch both these systems over the weekend and again remind you to monitor One Caribbean Television for complete updates. That’s it for now, keep checking back and have a wonderful weekend everyone.
