Monday Thoughts

July 29, 2013

Good morning everyone, Bob The Parrot here. Joey and I hope you all had a good weekend. We are busy packing for our trip to Barbados tomorrow to celebrate crop over. If you receive One Caribbean Television, be watching for live updates throughout the week. Good news as we start a new week, both the storms we were watching last week, one in the Pacific and one in the Atlantic have lost a lot of strength and now are only considered low pressure systems….both continue to produce clouds and disorganized thunderstorms but have weakened considerably. Well that’s all for now, have to get back to packing….see you soon.

Joey and I will continue to watch both these storms and update you when we get new info. That’s all for now, have a great day and keep checking back.

Thoughts From Tuesday

July 23, 2013

Good morning everyone, thanks for checking back on this Tuesday. Joey and I are watching a couple of low pressure systems today that have some poitential for development over the next couple of days. The first is about 200 miles S-SE of the Capr verde Islands in the Atlantic, this system is moving W-NW at about 10-15 mph. The second is located about 800 miles S-SW of the Southern tip of Baja California moving to the W at about 15 mph. We will continue to watch these systems and update you on their development. Don’t forget you can get complete updates on One Caribbean Television….if your cable operator is not carrying the station, call them and ask them if they would add it to their lineup. Well, the wait is finally over…the Dutchess gave birth to a baby boy yesterday afternoon around 4:20 pm, as of this writing they have not yet named the prince who will now be third in line to wear the crown. That’s all for now, keep checking back and have a great day.

Monday Mumblings

July 22, 2013

Good morning everyone, hope you had a great weekend. We are watching a couple areas of unsettled weather this morning, a tropical wave off the Western Coast of Africa and also a Low Pressure off the coast of Mexico, both theses areas are slow to develop but we will continue to monitor them and let you know if they develop. At the time of this writing we are still waiting to see the new royal baby. Last we heard the duchess had gone into labor….don’t forget Joey and I will be headed to Barbados next week to participate in Cropover…have a great day everyone and keep checking back with us.

Friday Roundup

July 19, 2013

Good morning everyone….TGIF. Thanks for checking back. As we head into another weekend, there are no new storms brewing in either the Atlantic or the Pacific. I received numerous pictures form friends in San Juan Puerto Rico showing the flooding that occurred there on Thursday. The city received about 8 inches of rain in a four hour period with a total rainfall of about 9 inches. This was the second wettest day on record for San Juan. From the looks of things there will be a lot of cleaning up over the weekend. The story continues to unfold in Jamaica concerning the possible use of illegal substances by some Olympic athletes…it is sad, you hate to see these kind of stories. Speaking of Jamaica, congratulations to superstar sprinter Usain Bolt who was named Espy’s Best International Athlete…..Well that’s all for now, have a great weekend everyone.

Wednesday Watch

July 17, 2013

Good morning everyone, I hope this Wednesday is going well for you so far. Checking the weather this morning there are no new storms brewing in the Atlantic or the pacific I am glad to say. Joey and I will continue to watch and when something develops we will let you know so keep checking back on a regular basis. From the news desk, folks are still on royal watch for the new baby, many still think this will be the week for the new arrival, I personally think they should name the new baby Bob, even if it’s a girl!!! LOL While we are taking a little break from storm season, it is a good time to remind you to be ready for the next storm. Make sure you have adequate supplies on hand and that family members know your plan should a storm hit your area. Also know where you will go to wait out the storm, will it be a safe place in your home or perhaps a community shelter. Be prepared…that is the key. Well that’s all for now, have a great day a keep checking back with us.

Good morning everyone, Bob The Parrot here, hope you all had a great weekend. On the weather front all is quiet in both the Atlantic and pacific. Two Jamaica sprinters tested positive for stimulants, it will be interesting to find out how this plays out. Also speaking of Jamaica there is now a smoking ban in public places with some very heavy fines for offenders. The royal watch continues, many think it will be this week. Joey and I are getting ready for our trip to Barbados for Cropover at the end of the month. Well that’s all for today, keep checking back and have a good day.
