Storm Developing

October 22, 2012

Good morning everyone, hope you had a great weekend. Joey and I went to a friend’s wedding over the weekend so we are a little tired as we start the week. We are also watching a disturbance in the Caribbean Sea that looks like it want’s to develop into something stronger. Our friends in Jamaica and Eastern Cuba should expect some heavy rain the next couple days. We will keep you posted on the development so keep checking back.

Thursday Update

Hey everyone, Bob The Parrot here, hope you are all having a great Thursday…..things are fairly quiet today on the weather front with no major storms to talk about thank goodness. I see where Usain Bolt according to a survey is ranked the 59th fittest man of all time, I wonder where I was on that list!!!! LOL I was watching One Caribbean News and saw a neat story about the longest zip line over water in Haiti, man )I mean parrot) did that look fun. Things Are Easing Up

Good day everyone, hope all is well, thanks for checking back….things are easing up on the weather front, Hurricane Rafael is moving away from Bermuda and should no longer be a threat to anyone. On the Pacific side Tropical Storm Paul will move along the Baja coast today and then turn out to sea, he has provided flooding rains to the BajaPeninsula. Congratulations to Columbus Communications and Flow, they are setting up shop in Barbados and should provide that island with first rate service in the years to come, one added plus is that the people of Barbados will be able to watch One Caribbean Television. Watching Two Storms As We Start Week

Hey everyone, Bob The Parrot here, hope you had a great weekend. As we start the week we are looking at two storms. Tropical Storm Rafael which could soon be Hurricane Rafael is about 680 miles South of Bermuda with winds of 70 mph and moving NNW at about 9 mph,.there is a Tropical Storm Watch for Bermuda and this storm could be approaching the island late Tuesday. Over in the Pacific we have Hurricane Paul located 530 SW off the Southern tip of Baja California with winds of 80 mph and moving North at 9 mph. There is a Tropical Storm Watch for the Western Coast of Baja California. This storm could be near the coast late Tuesday or Wednesday. Joey and I will keep you updated so keep checking back. Don’t forget you can always get updates on One Caribbean Television, if your cable provider doesn’t carry the show call them and ask them if they would add it to your lineup.

TRopical Storm Patty

Hi everyone, Bob The Parrot here and TGIF…..we have a new Tropical Storm named Patty located about 230 miles ENE of the central Bahamas, with winds of 40 mph and moving slowly to the SSW at 3 mph….also watching a low pressure in the eastern Caribbean Sea laying down some gusty winds and heavy rain, it is located about 60 miles NW of St. Lucia, this will provide heavy rain for the Lesser Antillies over the weekend. The Caribbean Tourism Organization is winding down their big meeting in St Kits, I understand it was a huge success. Have a great weekend everyone and please keep checking back with Joey and I.

Storm Update

Hey everyone, Bob here with an update on that low we were talking about earlier today…we now have Tropical Depression #16 380 miles ENE of the Central Bahamas. This storm has winds of 35 mph and is moving slowly to the South at 1 mph. There are no watches or warnings issued.

Hey everyone, Bob The Parrot here…..want to say good-by to a friend names Hadassah Ward who has been working with the British Virgin Island Tourist Board who is leaving to pursue other opportunities, we will miss you. Joey and I are watching two areas of low pressure that could develop into something bigger, one is Southeast of Central Bahamas and the other is East of Windward islands but could be laying down some heavy rain next couple days in the Lesser Antillies. Mark your calendar for Caribbean Rum and Beer festival in Granada Nov. 2-3 and Conc festival in Turks and Caicos Nov 23-24th. Thant’s all for now, have a great day.

Watching A Tropical Wave

Good morning everyone, Bob The Parrot here and I would like to say happy Independence day to the people of Cuba. Also Joey and I are watching a tropical Wave about 500 miles East of the Windward Islands, our friends in the lesser Antillies might want to keep an eye on this system, it has the potential to develop into something. Quiet on the weather scene, some showers and thunderstorms associated with low pressure around Bahamas and East of Windward Islands that we will continue to watch for you. Happy Independence Day to the people of Cuba tomorrow. Also mark your calendars if you are going to be around Granada Nov 2-3…they will be hosting the Caribbean Rum and Beer festival at the Granada Centre, this event has been in Barbados the past couple years.
