No Drought Problems

Hi everyone Bob The Parrot here with the results of our latest poll…the question was “Are you seeing much drought on your island”? 88.9% of you said NO while 11.1% of you said YES….if that is the case you are lucky, just ask the folks who live in the United States and are experiencing extremely dry conditions this summer.

On The Road Again

Hi everybody, Bob The Parrot here….well, Joey and I are about to hit the road again…we will be touring the Caribbean with stops in Puerto Rico, Antigua and Barbuda, Trinidad and Jamaica….we will be on the road for approximately three weeks so you might not hear from me for awhile. If you get a chance keep watching One Caribbean Television where we will be sending back reports on our travels, and remember if you don’t get OCTV call your cable provider and ask they to add it to your lineup. Thursday Already??!!

Hey everyone, Bob The Parrot here. Is it Thursday already, where has this week gone? Good news on the storm front, Fabio is a memory. There are some storms moving through the windward islands today but no major storms to report right now. Just found out Joey and I will be in Antigua on the 28th to help celebrate carnival, we are both looking forward to that since we have never been to that island. Don’t forget to watch us on One Caribbean Television and remember if you don’t get One Caribbean television, call your cable provider and ask them to add it to the lineup. Fabio Update

Just wanted to get back to you and let you know that Fabio is now considered a Sub Tropical Cyclone, it is expected to dissipate over the next several days…Fabio is no longer a player and the national Weather Service is no longer issueing bulletins on him…goodby Fabio!

Wednesday Update

Hey everyone, hope you are having a good day and thanks for checking back with me. Fabio is weakening again today, he is a Tropincal Depression and soon to be a Remnate Low and then hopefully will be gone….Joey and I are headed to Puerto Rico this weekend, we will be in San Juan and various parts of the island for a couple days before heading to Antigua to help kick off Carnival. Just a reminder the Curacao North Sea jazz Festival is coming up August 30 and September 1st….keep checking back for updates.

Fabio Update and Other Bits

Hey everyone Bob The Parrot here. Joey and I just finished another episode of The Sunshine Fun Club seen every Saturday and Sunday morning on One Caribbean Television…if you don’t get One Caribbean Television, call your cable provider and ask them nicely to add it!!!! Good news today from the Pacific, Fabio has been downgraded to a Tropical Storm and continues to weaken. He is moving North at 9 mph with winds of 50 mph at this writing…still no watches or warnings with this storm. Joey and I are headed to Puerto Rico this weekend with stops in Antigua, Trinidad and Jamaica to follow over the next couple weeks. Have a great day and keep checking back.

Start of a New Week

Hi everyone, Bob The Parrot here…hope you all had a great weekend, the results from last weeks poll are interesting, the question was “How many Caribbean Hurricanes do you think we will see this year”? 42.3% said 1-5 and 42.3% said 5-10…..let’s hope it is on the low side, only time will tell but keep checking here and monitor One Caribbean Television for all the latest information and updates. Emelia Downgraded

Hi everyone, Bob The Parrot here….Hurricane Emelia has been downgraded to a Tropical Storm, at this writing it is located about 1770 miles from the Southern tip of Baja California moving off to the West at 14 mph with winds of 70 mph…there are no watches or warnings with this storm and it is no threat to land. Tropical Storm Fabio on the other hand is intensifying…it is located 970 miles South of the southern tip of Baja California moving WNW at 9 mph with winds of 65 mph…Fabio could become a hurricane on Saturday. There are no watches or warnings posted with this storm. Have a great day everyone and keep checking back for updates.

Hey everyone, I have an update on a storm we talked about earlier…Tropical Depression 6-E is now Tropical Storm Fabio, it is expected to remain well off the coast of Mexico in the Pacific. At this writing it has winds of 40 mph and is moving to the West at 9 mph….again there are no watches or warnings with this storm right now.

Hey everyone, just wanted to update you on the storm situation…that Tropical Depression 6-E I talked about earlier has now been upgraded to a Tropical Storm Fabio, it is expected to remain well off the shore of Mexico. At this writing he has winds of 40 mph and is moving West at 9 mph. Again there are no watches or warnings posted with this storm.
