Hello everyone, Bob The Parrot here…I just got some feedback from the BVI Music Festival held on Tortola this past weekend, from all indications it was the best one ever!! I am told the weather was a little warm, but dry and the music was fantastic! Trey Songz was fantastic Friday night while Keisha Cole was very good Saturday but Capleton stole the show with his performance. Boyz to Men closed the weekend with a performance of a lifetime I was told. There was no standing room and everyone agrees that it was a very special show. I hear they even had to put on extra boats from St Thomas each day. Joey and I would like to congratulate the BVI Tourist Board and everyone involved with putting on such a first class show, we definitely will put it on our schedule for next year!!! We also hear that the 10th annual poker run was a huge success with well over 100 boats participating…congratulations to all who worked to make that a success also. Keep checking in for more updates from the Caribbean.

Hi everyone, Bob The Parrot here. I hope everything is going well for you in your little corner of the world. I just wanted to give you an update on Joey’s and my trip to the Turks and Caicos Islands. We will arrive on June 11th and be leaving on June 15th. We are going to the islands to officially launch the “One Caribbean Weather Station” on WIV4 Cable. This is great timing for the viewers on the Turks and Caicos with the June Hurricane Season fast approaching, now they will have access to 24 hour weather coverage and continued updates. I understand they have a number of neat events planned for us. We will be doing a radio interview (I hope Joey let’s me talk this time!!!)…I understand we may be playing a version of “Where are Joey and Bob The Parrot” for the viewers that could result in someone winning a nice prize package and I think they are planning some meet and greets on Grand Turk and Providenciales islands. All in all it sounds like a great trip and Joey and I are looking forward to meeting all our wonderful viewers on the Turks and Caicos Islands. Have a great day everyone and keep checking back for more information and announcements.
Hi everyone, Bob The Parrot here….the much anticipated report from NOAA on the upcoming hurricane season for 2011 was released today. According to the people who make these predictions, 2011 should be an “above normal” hurricane season. NOAA is calling for 12-18 named storms. 6-10 of those should be classified as hurricanes and 3-6 will have the potential to be major hurricanes. So I guess we are going to have to wait and see how it all plays out. As the June 1st opening of the Atlantic season approaches, be prepared and keep watching One Caribbean Weather for daily updates and reports. See you soon…..
Hey everyone, Bob The Parrot here with my main man Joey Stevens. It has been a pretty good week and we still haven’t seen any major storms in the Caribbean, keep in mind however that June is approaching and that is the beginning of “Hurricane Season” as we all know. I haven’t heard any predictions yet on what kind of season they are forecasting but be assured as soon as I find out I will pass that information on to you. On the travel front, I have learned that Joey and I will be in the Turks & Caicos Islands June 11-15th. We are looking forward to seeing and meeting our friends on the islands, we have never been there so we are anxiously awaiting the trip. That’s all for now, keep checking back for the latest news.

Hi everyone, Bob The Parrot here with an important reminder that this weekend is “Mothers Day”. Be good to mom because she really deserves it. If you are reading this on the island of Grenada, don’t forget the mothers day luncheon Sunday May 8th at 12 noon at the Flamboyant Hotel and Villas on the terrace, they are having their annual luncheon that has always been a great time for mom. Reservations are appreciated so give them a call because of limited seating (tell them Joey & Bob said to call).
